Founder & Lead Consultant
Amber isn't a consultant who studied dental practices from the outside. She built systems, managed teams, and drove growth from inside one for years. With more than 25 years of experience across dental and hospitality organizations, she has spent her career doing one thing: taking
complex, fast-moving operations and making them run better.
Most recently, Amber served as Practice Manager for a multi-location oral and maxillofacial surgery group in the Twin Cities - overseeing accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, HR, credentialing, and day-to-day operations while helping scale the organization from 4 offices and $6M in annual revenue to 7 locations producing over $14M.
That kind of growth doesn't happen by accident. It happens through financial clarity, accountability systems, and teams that know exactly what they're responsible for.
Amber's approach to consulting is rooted in three beliefs:
1. You can't improve what you can't see. Most practices don't have a performance problem — they have a visibility problem. When owners can see the right numbers clearly, decisions become easier and growth becomes intentional.
2. Systems protect your team.Burnout, turnover, and chaos almost always trace back to unclear roles and missing structure. The right systems don't just improve efficiency — they make your practice a better place to work.
3. Culture and performance aren't opposites. The best practices Amber has worked in didn't sacrifice their values to grow. They built systems strong enough to support both.
Her background in hospitality leadership earlier in her career also shapes her approach to consulting. She believes exceptional patient experience and strong team culture are foundational to successful healthcare organizations.
Through Anchor Dental Consulting, Amber partners directly with practice owners and leadership teams to improve profitability, streamline operations, and create systems that support long-term growth.
Outside of consulting, Amber is a proud Minnesotan who can usually be found cheering at a hockey rink, out on the river, at a yoga class, or with her nose in a book. She's married with a son who loves hockey, two cats, and a Bernedoodle who has very strong opinions about everything.
She stays closely connected to the dental and healthcare communities she's been part of for over two decades — because the relationships in this industry are half the reason she loves the work.
Strong practices don't grow by moving fast and hoping for the best. They grow because they're anchored — in clear financials, strong systems, and leadership that knows where it's going.
That's what Anchor Dental Consulting is built to provide.
